2)     Teams are allowed 25 players on a roster. They may dress 17 skaters and 2 goalies. A team must have at

least 6 players dressed prior to the 2nd period or they forfeit the game.

3)     All players must wear a helmet with a secure chinstrap.

4)     Every player must play 8 games to qualify to play in the playoffs.

5)     Cancellation of games for storms or rink problems must be made as soon as possible and that all necessary

parties are informed (Referees, Statistician, and Team Reps). In addition, re-scheduling of games will be permitted

if the two teams are in agreement and that the league officials (Referee in Chief, President, Statistician, and Web designer)

are informed at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled game.

6)     Players playing in the SRHL cannot play for a carded team or league.

7)     The game consists of NO BODY CHECKING.

8)     Spearing and butt-ending (major) are a full calendar year suspension.

9)     The SRHL will not adopt the same rules and regulations followed by Hockey Canada and the MAHA regarding the officiating of new stick obstruction rules.

10)    A match penalty for abuse of the referee with deliberate attempt to injure is suspended for one calendar year by league committee or commissioner.

11)    Any player receiving 3 penalties in one game will be removed from that game. The last penalty cannot be a coincidental penalty.

12)    Body checking is a 2 minute penalty unless the referee feels it was severe enough to warrant a 5 minute major penalty.

13)    Games will be played at 2-15 minute and 1-20 minute stop time periods.

14)    A player who is suspended in another league is not allowed to play in the SRHL until the suspension is lifted or completed.

15)    Any player who is suspended cannot be referee or timekeeper at anytime.

16)    A fight will result in being kicked out of the game being played. If fighting occurs in the last 10 minutes of a game, the player will be kicked out of the game being played and the next game. If the fighting becomes a problem, the SRHL board will discuss further action.

17)    Third man in on an altercation will result in an automatic two game suspension.

18)    MAHA rules to be applied in the SRHL.

19)    There will be 2 refs per game. Each ref will receive $55. If only one ref shows up, he will receive $75. Home team pays the refs.

20)    No carded players of any kind allowed playing in the SRHL. Only 2 imports per team with a 20 mile radius.

21)    Any player suspended by the committee or the commissioner will be fined $50. This will be paid by the player. If the player doesn’t pay, he will not be allowed to play. This then becomes the team’s responsibility. If they won’t pay, it will come off their bond. All of their games will be forfeited until the bond is paid in full. Committee rule.
